Pastors Daniel and Theresa Jones Senior Pastors Leading people to new heights in Christ is the passion of Pastors Daniel and Theresa Jones. The heart of their ministry at Summit is loving and encouraging others to fulfill their God-given destiny and to press to maximize their full potential in Christ. Their lives are a testimony for their ministry style, loving people and doing the works of Jesus Christ in this generation. As extreme sports enthusiasts -- rock climbing, mountain biking and scuba diving -- Pastors Daniel and Theresa experience God's awesome creation from the mountaintops to the depths of the ocean. They carry their enthusiasm and inspiration into their ministry and believe God has called Summit to love and to reach this extreme generation. Missions work is another passion for Pastors Daniel and Theresa. They have led teams on mission trips to Uganda, South Africa, Brazil, and Mexico. Missions are an emphasis at Summit. Pastor Daniel is a licensed and ordained minister of the Gospel with a Ministerial Degree from Vision International University. Pastor Theresa is an ordained minister with an M.S. in Education, and a Theology Degree from Christ for the Nations in Dallas, Texas. Pastor Daniel has been Senior Pastor at Summit since 1997. He has been in the ministry since 1982 as a youth pastor and later as associate Pastor. Daniel and Theresa live in San Marcos with their three sons Jesse, Nathan, and Zachary. |

Pastor Andy & Jana Jones Overseeing Children's Church Inspired by their own experience as parents and past involvement with youth and childrenÕs church, Pastor Andy and Jana Jones lovingly and enthusiastically lead Summit Kids Club, the childrenÕs church at Summit. Together they train our children to love and serve God through worship, instruction and memorization of the Bible, and GodÕs inspired Word through the One Accord and Solid Rock curriculum. Jana Jones has been involved with Summit's Youth and Children's Ministries since 2002. She has lead several youth trips to Yosemite and the Colorado River; taught the 4th and 5th grade children's church class; ministered and addressed Summit's Women of Destiny and sings with Summit's Worship Team. Jana is currently working on her Bachelors degree in Theological Studies with an emphasis on Women's Ministry through Vision International. Pastor Andy Jones began serving in youth ministry after he was saved in 1988. He was ordained in 1994 and began pastoring the youth from 1994 to 2004. He has been leading Summit Kid's Club (Summit's Children's Ministry) since 2005. Pastor Andy is also completing course work for a bachelor's degree with Vision International. Pastors Andy and Jana are parents of two young children, Kyler and Erin. |

Pastors Tal and Dee Klaus Overseeing Christian Training & Bible College With a passion to equip and mentor men and women to teach, evangelize and disciple other believers, Tal and Dee Klaus lead Vision International Education Network at Summit Christian Church. VIEN is an educational ministry designed to teach the Word of God through theological studies and academic achievement. In addition, Tal and Dee oversee the Ushers, Greeters and Altar Team Ministry. They also facilitate the Couples Ministry that offers opportunities for couples to spend time with other Christian couples and deepen their relationships with each other. As counselors, they counsel men, women, pre-marital couples and married couples. The Women of Destiny Ministry is led by Dee Klaus and focuses on women to women. It is grounded in Titus 2, calling for women to open their lives and hearts to each other and the next generation. Dee is the author of "Women's Ministry in the 21st Century". Drs. Tal and Dee Klaus each hold a Masters in Pastoral Counseling and a Doctorate in Religious Philosophy. |

Elders Pete & Robin Whittet Overseeing Men's Ministry & Helps Elders Pete and Robin Whittet have served at Summit Christian Church for the last 23 years and as Elders for the last 20 years. Pete leads our Men's Ministry at Summit as well as Helps Ministry and Technology. Inspired by his participation in Ed Cole's Men's Ministry 20 years ago, Pete Whittet brings these foundations and his own experience to the Summit Men's Ministry. Robin has been involved in Summit's Women's Ministry and Hospital Ministry for the last 15 years, assisting with publicity and multi media presentations for the Women of Destiny, as an intercessor with the Prayer Ministry/Altar Team. Inspired by her personal experience of healing and recovery from cancer, Robin is currently working with therapy dogs and will be using them with a Ministry for the elderly. Pete holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Western Michigan University and is a business owner. Married for 25 years, the Whittet's have three children, Shawny, Jay and Brittney. |

Pastor Andrew Hopkins Worship Leader, Youth Pastor As a Worship Leader at Summit since 2004, Andrew Hopkins brings his passionate love of God into Summit's sanctuary through his inspired music and leadership of the Worship Team. Composing original worship songs and adapting contemporary worship music and traditional hymns to his own style, Andrew brings us to the heart of God through worship. Andrew also serves as the Youth Pastor for Summit. Andrew Hopkins has an AA degree in music at MiraCosta College and is enrolled in Vision International University, pursuing a bachelor's degree in theology with a minor in worship ministry. |

Tracy Cavender Agape Food Ministry Leading Agape Food Ministry since 1997, Tracy is the backbone of this outreach program. Tracy is also Summit's events coordinator and assists at Summit with various counseling and advisor duties. She is pursuing a degree in the areas of psychology and Christian Counseling through Vision International University.
