Pastors Daniel and Theresa Jones
Senior Lead Pastors
Leading people to new heights in Christ is the passion of Pastors Daniel and Theresa Jones. The heart of their ministry at Summit is loving and encouraging others to fulfill their God-given destiny and to press to maximize their full potential in Christ. Their lives are a testimony for their ministry style, loving people and doing the works of Jesus Christ in this generation. Witnessing the modern day ministry of the Holy Spirit, with gifts, healings, and miracles flowing in their ministry.
As extreme sports enthusiasts -- rock climbing, mountain biking and scuba diving -- Pastors Daniel and Theresa experience God's awesome creation from the mountaintops to the depths of the ocean. They carry their enthusiasm and inspiration into their ministry and believe God has called Summit to love and to reach this extreme generation.
Missions work is another passion for Pastors Daniel and Theresa. They have led teams on mission trips to Uganda, South Africa, Brazil, Mexico and Phillippines. Both local and international Missions are an emphasis at Summit. Embracing the Great Commandment + Great Commission, our desire is to reach and reap the Harvest for eternity.
Pastor Daniel is a licensed and ordained minister of the Gospel with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Ministry & Counseling from Vision International University. Pastor Theresa is an ordained minister with an M.S. in Education, and a Theology Degree from Christ for the Nations in Dallas, Texas.
Pastor Daniel has been Senior Pastor at Summit since 1997. He has been in the ministry since 1983 as a youth pastor and later as associate Pastor. Daniel and Theresa live in San Marcos with their three sons Jesse, Nathan, and Zachary.

Pastor Andy & Jana Jones
Overseeing LifeGroups and Church Business Administrator
Pastor Andy & Jana oversee and administrate the LIFE GROUP ministry. Pastor Andy Jones has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biblical Counseling through Vision International University. Jana is the Church Business Administrator. Jana also works with the Youth ministry and is a key Mentor in the Jewels young women discipleship ministry. Jana's musical talent includes singing and playing bass on the Women of Destiny Worship Team. Jana has a Bachelors degree in Biblical Leadership through Vision International.
Pastor Andy Jones began serving in youth ministry after he was saved in 1988. He was ordained in 1994 and began pastoring the youth from 1994 to 2004. Pastor Andy has also lead Summit Kid's Club from 2005 to 2008, and continues to help lead children's camps and teaches on a regular basis.
Pastor Andy and Jana are parents of two young children, Kyler and Erin.

Pastors Tal and Dee Klaus
Overseeing Christian Training & Bible College
With a passion to equip and mentor men and women to teach, evangelize and disciple other believers, Tal and Dee Klaus lead Vision International Education Network at Summit Christian Church. VIEN is an educational ministry designed to teach the Word of God through theological studies and academic achievement. Pastors Tal & Dee also oversee the Summit School of Supernatural ministry with Bethel curriculum.
In addition, Tal and Dee oversee the Ushers, Greeters and Altar Team Ministry. They also facilitate the Couples Ministry that offers opportunities for couples to spend time with other Christian couples and deepen their relationships with each other. As counselors, they counsel men, women, pre-marital couples and married couples.
Drs. Tal and Dee Klaus each hold a Masters in Pastoral Counseling and a Doctorate in Religious Philosophy. Drs. Tal & Dee have also begun a ministry outreach and life group on Camp Pendleton in order to minister to Marine families & wives.

Pastor Andrew and Rochelle Hopkins
Worship Leader, Youth Pastor, Crux College Ministry
As a Worship Leader at Summit since 2004, Andrew Hopkins brings his passionate love of God into Summit's sanctuary through his inspired music and leadership of the Worship Team. Composing original worship songs and adapting contemporary worship music and traditional hymns to his own style, Andrew brings us to the heart of God through worship. Summit recently released our first Worship CD, called "This is How We Cry Out". Andrew also serves as the Youth Pastor for Summit.
Andrew Hopkins has an AA degree in music at MiraCosta College and is enrolled in Vision International University, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Theology with a minor in worship ministry. Rochelle Hopkins recently completed her Bachelor's Degree in Biblical Leadership. Rochelle serves on the CRUX leadership team, and is a key mentor in the Jewels, young women discipleship ministry. Rochelle is also a gifted musician and a talented female drummer.
